Hi, I'm new. I'll meet you on the front porch.

my charm braclet

The request I made of Jean Judy for my own bracelet was to, not only have charms for each of my published novels (Coma Coast, The Vanity, A River Of Orange, and The Golden Lady...not yet released as of this entry 9/6/08), but other charms depicting scenes in the novels.
For Coma Coast I have an artist's palette charm because the heroine is an artist. Because both Coma Coast and The Vanity are published by Wings Press and their logo is a butterfly, I have a butterfly charm.
A River Of Orange has a mermaid as a character and a shape-shifting hero who turns into a panther. A charm of a mermaid and a lion (my Zodiac sign) are also on the bracelet, as well as roses since The Wild Rose Press is the publisher for A River Of Orange and their logo is a red rose.
And The Golden Lady is a historical western, so a charm of a man on horseback with a bow and arrow is also one of the charms...as well as my intials in an antique signet charm.
My bracelet is very unique and means volums to my writing endeavors and accomplishments. Adding charms is easy, and something I intend to do with further books that become published.

Jean Judy maker of the charm braclet

Jean Judy of Neosho, MO.
Let me tell you a little about Jean:

She's a housewife, mother and grandmother who has been designing and making altered art type charm bracelets for four years. Altered art is a hot catagory right now and Jean's done a lot of work on Ebay under the user name dreamsofegypt2. She says authors are some of her favorite people. In addition to my bracelet she's done work for author Casey Daniels, Emilie Richards and Heather Brewer. Jean was commissioned by Heather to make a bracelet for fellow author Jackie Kessler and by author Tiffany Trent for fellow author Sara Beth Durst. Generally Jean uses pictures of the author's bookcovers on the charms and coats them with several layers of glassy protective epoxy resin for a smooth, professional finish. Then she embellishes in the colors of the author's choich with combinations of lampwork, Czech glass, Swarovski crystal and assorted charms.
